The 2007 Susan G. Komen For the Cure Lowcountry Race For the Cure® was a great success and raised half a million dollars! We had an amazing turnout with over 5,500 participants. About the Race
The Foundation's largest and most popular event is the Race for the Cure®. Started as one local 5K (3.1 miles) race, this event has grown to be a national series of 110+ races in cities around the nation. The Race is one of the nation's top 5K races and would not be possible without the 75,000+ volunteers and respective race committees that help put this event together.
