Victoria Bachan Hosts Ultimate Sweet Sixteen
After sixteen privileged years, Victoria Bachan decided for her sweet sixteen she should give back on such a momentous occassion. She says "receiving the diagnosis of breast cancer can be the worst day of someone's life. That is when I got the idea to have donations, instead of gifts, be given to the Lowcountry Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure." Read full story.

St. John Boutique - Charleston held a cocktail reception in honor of Susan G. Komen for the Cure on Saturday, October 27, 2007 from 1 to 6 p.m. at the Charleston Place Hotel.
2007 Cooper River Bridge Run Raises $4,500 for Komen!The 2007 Bridge Run committee designated five local charities to benefit from online donations. The Lowcountry Affiliate recruited volunteers to help at the "Start" line on Mount Pleasant. Marsha Clayman and several volunteers carried our new logo banner across the bridge and into downtown Charleston. The crowd loved seeing the banner and cheers were heard everywhere. We received a check in the amount of $4,500 from this event! Thank you Cooper River Bridge Run!
